Promoting Cross-Disease Research
The DZG Innovation Fund (DZGIF) is a joint funding program of the German Centers for Health Research (DZG). Each call for proposals has a specific research topic. Projects involving researchers from at least three DZG centers are eligible for funding.
The aim is to strengthen cooperation between the centers, create interdisciplinary synergies, and enable cross-disease research. This is intended to promote translation and improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of common diseases.

Scientists from the DZG can apply for the 2027/2028 funding period with joint research projects on the topic of “Immune Dysregulation and Interorgan Mechanisms in Post-Infectious Conditions: Pathogenesis, Biomarkers, and Non-Pharmacological Interventions.”
