DZKJ – partner site Ulm

In the DZKJ, Ulm stands for structured, interdisciplinary and cross-faculty cooperation, also with industry, strong methodological platforms and unique patient and population cohorts. Partners at the DZKJ site are Ulm University, its Medical Faculty, Ulm University Medical Center and the Institute of Clinical Transfusion Medicine and Immunogenetics Ulm of the German Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service.

The core of the partner site is the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, which has been internationally recognized since its foundation in 1967 for pioneering developments in hematology, immunology and endocrinology, many of which have been published in leading scientific journals. Diagnostic and research laboratories, as well as several specialized high-end disciplines under one roof, together with strong partners on campus and established centers for rare diseases (ZSE), personalized medicine (ZPM) and cancer (CCCU, NCT) offer an interdisciplinary approach to the medical care of children and adolescents.

There are currently 24 DZKJ research groups working at the Ulm site.
