Curious about Health?
On June 6, 2026, the Long Night of the Sciences took place at the Gläsernes Labor on the Berlin-Buch Campus. Full of curiosity, excitement, and a spirit of discovery, children, teenagers, and their families visited the German Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DZKJ) and experienced health research first-hand.
Hands-on Science
At our interactive stations, visitors of all ages had the opportunity to explore the DZKJ’s research areas through experiments, puzzles, and discovery activities. They searched for errors in DNA sequences, examined immune cells under the microscope, and took part in a simulation where young people allocated fictional funding to child health initiatives in Berlin.
The activities offered a fun and engaging way to experience science and attracted a large number of visitors throughout the evening. The strong interest highlighted the importance of accessible, age-appropriate opportunities for children and young people to engage with research and health-related topics.
